BOWS VS SPURS!

Posted

Our U7s and U9s travelled to Tottenham's training ground last Friday, and the evening was a belter!

We were invited to take along a select group of players from each age group within our development centres to face Tottenham Hotspurs Elite Academy groups at their state of art training ground in Enfield. Our boys were fantastic on the night! Their behaviour and application was excellent, backed up with some superb individual performances.

The U7s were up first. We could tell early on that it was going to be a tough game as the initensity levels of the opposition were very high. After shaking off the nerves, we began to settle and became far more confident on the ball.

As the games progressed, we encouraged the players to take more touches and not be afraid to shoot! With that, we ended up scoring 7 cracking goals in total which capped off a wonderful match.

Our U9s were up next. Again the boys were understandably nervous at the start, looking to release the ball at any giving opportunity. After conceding a few goals, we seemed to relax a little and created a host of opportunities within the first two quarters without being able to convert them.

Going into the final two quarters we could see the boys were now enjoying themselves. They began to take an extra touch, became more vocal and were all looking to get on the ball more. In a much tigther match, we scored two superb goals and went on to win the final quarter.

The evening was a huge success, so much so that we have been invited back again in the new year. Not only that, one of players has been offered a trial within their Academy.

We would like to thank Nick Hardy and everyone within the Tottenham Academy for helping arrange this fixture and hope to continue this working relationship in the future.

Well done to all the players who took part on the night and hope we can all use this exeprience to help with their football development.
